Hello. I am willing to pay good money for front disc brake conversion - all parts required. If upgraded big brakes are available for sale from other vehicle I am also interested. Drum brakes all round is not great for busy UK roads. I pay all costs! If shipping to UK is problem I have address in Poland to send. Assume I need new discs, pads, hubs, master cylinder, servo - everything possible.. Strong ££ available for parts shipped as kit 'complete'. Many thanks. GOOGLE Translate (will be bad!!) Cześć. Jestem w stanie zapłacić duże pieniądze za przedni hamulec tarczowy - konwersja wszystkich części potrzebnych. Jeśli zmodernizowane duże hamulce są dostępne w sprzedaży od innego pojazdu Jestem również zainteresowany. Hamulce bębnowe cały nie jest wielki dla zapracowanych brytyjskich drogach. I zapłacić wszystkie koszty! Jeżeli wysyłka do UK jest problem mam adres w Polsce wysłać. Załóżmy, że potrzebne są nowe tarcze, klocki, tuleje, pompa hamulcowa, serwo - wszystko, co możliwe .. dostępne dla części dostarczonych w zestawie "kompletna" Strong ££. Wielkie dzięki. |

You have "standing" pedals in Your żuk, conversion is possible, but difficult. You must change pedals to "hanging" version. Photos and description are in this topic,ask Marian if You had any problem: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2512&hilit=hamulce+tarczowe |

OK thanks! If hanging version I can use any servo/cylinder, it's just hubs, calipers and new discs plus pads i need one day. Many thanks. One for the future then! |

Instead of having problems with swap and convertion I recommend to buy new parts of the "old" system and replace them all, even get extra ones as spare parts. The're still available. If original brake system is well maintaned it works well and lasts for years. |

I have new cylinders and shoes for brakes all round. The front cylinders had leaked on shoes making stop impossible.. Scary test drive! ![]() |

If it's well maintained this old brake system works fine, it's enough for Żuk. Conversion to disk brakes isn't a kind of plug and play stuff. |

Only issue is amount of mountain roads I will be travelling one complete and the weight of Kamper.. But yeah, always a future project. Even my 1983 ascona has 3.2 v6 and 308mm disk Hehe. Happy to hear drums are OK.. Slightly scary brakes look like car from 1930s! Exciting times. |

I'm testing other type of brake pump, it have better efficiency and hydraulic ratio. it may be installed to system with standing pedals. Good thing are steel belted elastic brake hoses-like HEL Performance, i have them in my Nysa( car very simmilar to Żuk) Brake shoes-only Fomar Friction(Borg Automotive). EG Brakes broke down after few uses, fading was incredible! |
